eidetic images
2025 - ongoing
Collection of 8 works
Multisensory recollections of real-life events, rendered through human-machine collaboration.
"εἶδος" (eîdos) is a Greek word that means essence or form. Eidetic images are vivid mental snapshots infused with sensory details and personal meaning, shaped by perception and time. They are fragments that exist between memory and imagination.
This collection explores how algorithmic systems can alter and reshape memory. Accompanying each work is a poem that undergoes its own transformation into mathematical essence. A fixed opening stanza remains constant, while the following verses shift. The complete poetic forms rest exclusively on the verso, reserved for the collector's intimate exploration.
Remembering is already an act of collaboration: between past and present, self and environment. If our most vivid mental images are already collaborations, what happens when AI joins the conversation?
